Pipe is one of the important components in the construction sector. Pipes are required to meet various constructions of fluid distribution in the form of vertical, horizontal, straight, or bends. The use of curved pipes to meet these demands causes a greater pressure drop than straight pipes of the same length. This study proposes the use of guide vanes on channel bends, the geometry is made using the SpaceClaim application with a cross section measuring 400 x 250 mm and a total length of 2000 mm. The mesh used is poly-hedra with a size of 4 – 20 mm, the inlet is set at a temperature of 16oC (289 K) with a speed of 3 m/s, 6 m/s, and 9 m/s. At the outlet, the backflow temperature is set to 20oC (293 K), on the wall it has a temperature of 27oC (300 K) and is in a noslip condition. Based on the simulation results, the use of guide vanes effectively provides an advantage to the flow generated after passing through the turns. Channels with guide vanes result in lower pressure drop, lower temperatures, and a more uniform flow velocity profile, which can result in reduced losses due to the bend profile of the line and provide lower power consumption.
